Expect 9hp on our S197's, I've had no problems w/ my Steedas. Yes my A/C was not as cold at first but I upped my idle in drive by 50rpm (from 650-700) and that fixed it.

Not worth it to me. Ford already has the accessorys slowed down quite a bit on the 3v motors compared to the older stangs.

I am more bothered by crippling the alternators low end output. And cutting back the AC is no great idea either.

Ford engineers are not dumb asses. They could have spun the accessories at any speed they wanted. These things are not determined by a five minute guess, they are determined by solid engineering. And it is not an area where finance even matters. It essentially costs no more to make a pulley a slightly different diameter.

You can see where they cut corners for money, this is not that area.

But, never the less. I have only heard of one or two problems with them.
