Default Standing burnout?

I know this is a noob question, but , how can I do a standing burnout? ( tires spinning, no forward movement).
I have an '07 stick.

rev up to like 3-4k dump the clutch and quickly press the brake with the left foot while giving it gas

oh and turn traction control off

I figured it would be hard on the brakes, it's just something I would like to try once or twice.

I figured it would be hard on the brakes, it's just something I would like to try once or twice.
Just do a big one the day before you get new tires. Don't do it now, its not worth it....

Buy a Line-Lock kit, you can turn the rear brakes off for burnouts

Heres how I do it, apply the gas as Im letting out the clutch. When I get to the friction point (where the clutch just barely is engaging), I mash the gas and dump the clutch the rest of the way. THen I feather (pump) the gas, I might move forward about a foot but no more than that usually. But then again I can roast em while Im driving along at 30 mph just by mashing the gas.
