A giant bag of beef jerky, and one of those little plug-in air fresheners.

Find a 1:18 Mustang he can have in his home/room, so when he isn't in his car, he can look at that and smile knowing he has the real thing out in the garage.

A shorty antenna from www.americanmuscle. com : $20
The stock one is only good for detecting alien activity IMHO.

The "long" antenna that we all HATE, was not FORD's fault. As the manufacturer, they have to comply with FCC Regulations and 32.250" is the minumum length allowed, that enables you to receive all bands/frequencies of radio.
If you ever get out to "BFE", that shorty won't work, so play your CD, (skipper 500/1000) LOL

Well I never place blame, but while we are on the subject: Why the hell can other manufacturers get away with putting antennae in the windshield? Or how about the ones that manually extend out of the roof? (Not the automatics of course...) I'll stick to my ipod/shaker for BFE.

I'm not sure when, But, I think the windshield antenna's went out in the late 80's, (didn't work very well) The roof mounts are 1 piece, as far as I know. If they are "adjustable", they will extend out to FCC regulations, it's up to the owner's descretion as to how far to pull it. (I wasn't comfortable making that comment), just didn't sound right.
Anyway, I hope I helped. JMO
