Anybody here use or know of any other navigation systems that look as good as the Z1 and have DVD capabilities for a better price? I just can't but two grand into a new head unit, it's a little too pricey for something that doesn't make me go faster.

You can get a flip out nav/dvd single din for cheaper, but a double din In-dash nav/dvd with the same capabilities is gonna be around the same price. By the way you can probably get a Z1 for 1600 shipped if you look around on ebay.

I put the Z1 in my car and I like it a lot. If I had to do it again I would skip the Ipod adaptor since I can rip all of my cd's right on to the HD. I basically have the same stuff on both the head unit and the Ipod. I have the Sirius sat as well but wish I could get the traffic feed on Sirius. Like others have posted avic911.com is the place to get any questions answered. I had to show the installer that site and provide them the VSS info to get it installed correctly.

I had mine put in back in September and I love it. The back up camera has to be the best addition i purchased. I thought it would be cool to have, I had no idea how useful it would actually be.
