Default Which Pulley's

I am looking to buy pullies for my 06 GT.. it is between the Granatelli Pulleys that lethal performance offer or the ones offered at http://rpmoutlet.com/05gtup.htm My question is the Granatelli only comes with two pulleys for $189 and the MOTOblue comes with 3 for 169... what is the difference and which is a better choice of products?

I had the motoblue ones from rpmoutlet and liked them. Never had a problem with them. I can't speak for the other brands.

I have Steeda, and they are what you would expect from Steeda. A great buy. $209 so the extra money was well spent.

My only guess about the motoblue ones is that they altered the sizes. The reason why the granatelli are only two is because the crank shaft takes the size of the water pump pulley, and the water pump pulley takes the size of the crank shaft. So there is no need to get a different belt. I'd have to say that the motoblue does the same thing, but takes it a step further and incorporates 3 pulleys so that one isn't strained more then the other. Not sure. Though it could mean less power, if the crank pulley is larger then other aftermarket pulleys. Or it could be, and would be putting even more strain on the engine because instead of it just affecting two area, it's affecting three.

With that being said, motoblue is RPMoutlet, and RPMoutlet sucks. Speaking from personal experience. They have great prices, but you may not ever be able to obtain the product, or the product might simply suck.

I've never had a bad product from RPM. With the motoblue you use your stock belt also.

I can only assume they use the stock belt, and I imagine they would need a good reason not to. The reason why Steeda and other brands use the stock belt is because they simply transfer the size of the water pump pulley to the crankshaft pulley. So there is no need to change the belt. I'd ask Roush or someone that deals with Roush.. Not sure of too many people who own the pulleys.

Motoblue just throws in one of their billet idler pulleys, which isn't needed. It's just something they add to the kit to attract customers. The other two pulleys are identical to the Steedas, and that idler is purely optional. (It's actually heavier than stock, so I wouldn't use it)

By the way, most of the UDPs are identical in every detail. Compare a Steeda and a Motoblue and you won't be able to tell them apart. They are all made in the same factory, they are just rebadged by the various dealers. Buy whichever is the cheapest.

No difference, they are all the same. I'd bet that the Roush and Steeda were made in the same factory...
