Stock rear wheel horsepower?

Stock rear wheel horsepower?
I know total HP is 300 but does anyone know how much is making it to the rear wheels?
Also, I am thinking of getting the C&L CAI and SCT and tunes from brenspeed. I have read on here that this combo can be good for up to +30HP. I would assume that is total HP and not 30 to the rear wheels, correct?
Basically, I just want to know where I am now and where I would be with the CAI/SCT kit as far as total HP and rear wheel HP.
Thanks in advance for your help and replies,
Lance

RE: Stock rear wheel horsepower?
Lance, I think you are going to get hit with the "search" stick. Stock rwhp is shown on lot's of posts....but the only true way to know what YOUR car's rwhp is will be to get it dyno'd.

LOL, I didn't even know that button was down there, I looked for it and found it once you mentioned the search stick, thanks for straightening me out. Still not a lot of specific info, looks like I'm at 255-260 with my auto. If someone could just tell me if the 30+HP kitis total or to the rear wheels, I will be happy and move along.
Thanks,
Lance

The CAI will get you close to the 300 but remember when you put it on you will most likely get a tuner along with it and that will put you over your 300 with the canned tune and alittle more after you have it dyno'ed and fine tuned.

RE: Stock rear wheel horsepower?
Our cars are underrated at 300, they put about 315 at the crank and dynos I have been seeing are anywhere from 250-260(Auto), to 265-275(5-speed).
The C&L + TUne is good for about 30 flywheel horsepower, and it puts about 25 Horsepower to the wheels.

RE: Stock rear wheel horsepower?
If you want to know details, an 05-07 Mustang GT's approximatecalculated drivetrain loss is between 17% and 18% according to sources that ranthe two different dynos.
30 x (100% - 17.5%) = 24.75rwhp. from adding a CAI and tune.
We have addressed it before, but if you were to put down 270rwhp on a stock dyno, doing the math gets you a crank horsepower figure of 327.27. Hence they are definitely underrated by Ford.
