I certainly hope everyone is talking about racing when they talk about a shift light. What possible need could there be for a shift light on the street?
I personally have not had a problem at the track with the stock tach, but a large dash-mounted tach and shift light make drag runs that much more fun!

And it makes for much better "in-car" videos!

What's your backing for this? I guess seeing something on a civic makes it "Rice!" On the otherhand, the 10second foxs and other cars around here still use them. Hmmm... I guess they are rice too. Think before you say anything, you're making yourself look like a retard.

I def think a larger tach would help i mean itd be right in your field of vision and be a lot safer

i agree 100%. under normal driving, a monster tach serves no purpose. but this is a mustang
a primarily MORE VISIBLE tachometer is a key instrement in shifting at the proper point. shift points are crucial during races, and with a bigger tach , its easier. its kind of like an aftermarket shifter in principle. its a tool to help you, as the driver. its an addition to the driver mod.

I have a monster tach but black faced. a little low key instead of the grey one. Its not hooked up. im thinking Id rather, just have a shift light though. We have a tach.

My favorite Rice is the Fire extinguisher on the Driver side window column, Lol every time I see it.

For me, I would rather have a small shift light that is only noticeable when it lights up, like on the 350z.

That is only rice if installed in a base Honda Civic, that tach is a version of one they have been making for forever, it's many things, rice isn't one of them.

Me I ned one that can be set at diffrent shift points for each gear. And now that autometer has one that fits in a standard gauge pod I'm stoked.
