I'm also an auto GT, and I'm going with the 3.73s. If I were still manual, I'd go with 4.10s.

If you're even thinking about adding more power (like a SC), then stick with the 3.73s or you'll have a lot of trouble planting the power.

I have driven in a car that had the Auto trans and 4.10 and I personally think they are to much gear. Go with the 3.73 is you have the Auto. You really have to take into account how the car is going to be used. This topic reminds me of the same one i went though many years ago with my F150 when i lifted it and everyone said go with 4.56 well that is great for towing a boat or large trailer all the time but for freeway driving it flat out sucks and i wish I had gone with 4.10's

Go with the 3.73. And gears should never whine unless there is a problem a proper install will have no whine.

As you can all tell, I'm a newbie. I just wanted to say I appreciate all the good information! Based on feedback here, and talking to some others, I think 3.73 is the answer. Seems to me to combine the torque boost with not killing my gas mileage too much. I'll be searching for (and perhaps asking) many more questions; and your patience is appreciated!

You'r choice and mine are the 3.73s. The auto shifts 1st 45mph...2nd 60mph...and 3rd 90mph @ 6,000 rpm with the stock 3.31 axle now.

I'm not going 3.73 to 4.10, I'm going 3.31 to 3.73.

With your current gear 3.31, when at a stop can you let off the brake and just floor it and burn rubber, with no power braking .I ask because I have an 07 and could not do this. I added gms cai and fuego tuner to my auto and I can't tell you how much fun I am having now! Yes I can come to think of it. Be advised you can also make small adjs to your axle with dif tire sizes. Example(275/40/17tires)= a 3.50 ratio/

I want 4:10s'. Personally I don't want to pay $600 plus for 3:73s' when I have 3:55s' to begin with.
I'm with you, I think the stock gears are great

Hey extuner, I've been asking about the GMS Fuego but nobody has commented. You obviously like it. I have the GMS CAI but no tune. Is that how you started or did you get both at the same time? If you had the CAI first was there a big improvment by adding the Fuego tune. Tell me what you think of it in detail. Thanks!
