Default 18X10's on the front?

I'm looking at getting some wheels for my Black 05 I was going to get some GT500 wheels that are 18X9.5. Could I squeez some 18X10's in the front? I'm an autocrosser so it's in my nature to go as big as possible and stay equal front and rear! LOL!

Do you mean 18x5? The stock rims are 18x8. And I believe that there are guys running 18x9's on the front.

LOL personally i figured he just forgot the 9 in 18X9.5 be cause like i said the GT500 wheels are 9.5's and i've seen GT's with those on the front. But my guess is you would have to start playing with custom wheel offsets if you wanted to get 10's on the front and that can get expensive!

I have 20x8.5 in the front with a 265 tire and have no problems with clearance but any bigger to me looks bad. I like the 9.5 with the smaller rim but 10 inch would be crazy ugly IMHO.

Roush sells their wheels that are 18x10 all the way around. I don't know their exact offset, but if they can do it, why can't you?
I have been wanting a 10" wide wheel up front for a long time, as I am a fellow road racer too, and I have posted several times and most of the replies come back with a 9" rim is the widest, but the GT500 wheels fit as you listed and they are 9.5" wide. Also there is a member here that has 18x10 steeda ultralites on the front but again Steeda wont publish their offsets but in emails they say they fit with no rubbing or other fitment issues. So I think it all comes down to what the offset is and if the car is lowered significantly.

LOL! How you feel about rim width is the way i feel about rim hight! Any bigger than 18 just looks like a Tahoe wheel to me. But hey thats why they make different wheels right? Thanks for for the info!

the stock 18's are x 8.5"

stick with 17's for autoctrossing. 17x9 is all you need to fit a 275/40 Khumno V710
the 285/35/18 Khimo V710's are $80 more per tire.

but then if you can afford a GT3 you can afford 18" tires [8D]

as bad as these cars push I think if you go any wider it's gonna grip so well that your gonna have to induce way too much oversteer - and "spinnin aint winnin"

Thanks alot for that info it helps alot i'm thinking I might just go with the GT500 wheels till I can build up some cash for some custom CCW wheels so i can get the offset right and go 10's all around and then use the GT500 wheels to put Hoosiers on and autocross with.
