The cost of vanity plates

RE: The cost of vanity plates
Nice thing in California you can have seven letters/symbols. Here in Oregon we can only have six letters.
A friend who is into astronomy (telescopes, etc) from California has this plate: CME2C*S.

$75 one-time fee in Illinois for vanity plates (all letters/all numbers) plus I think there is a higher annual renewal cost.
$11 one-time fee and no higher annual renewal cost for "personalized" plates...meaning the plate has at least 1 letter and at least one number.
So, COMPNS8 would be $11, EATDUST would be $75. Also, 1234567 would be $75. Weird, I tell ya...

$40 per year in KY. You get to pick what you want on the state's website. You can see if someone already has what you wanted or not. I orignally thought I wanted 06PONY, but someone else had it so I went with 06HOSS. A horse is bigger than a pony so I guess it all worked out.
