Dyno tune or not?

RE: Dyno tune or not?
I have to admit, you got me there!
But nevertheless, in my experience and in the experience of many others who have posted here, the CMCPs are an excellent mod with very noticeable HP gains. I have never heard a single report of someone installing them and then being unhappy about it. On the other hand, those kinds of stories are commonplace with TBs.
Have you ever tried the CMCP delete or had personal experience with the mod? On a buddy's car perhaps?

we put them on a buddy's car with a supercharger. hard to say how much the plates alone added. i'm sure they work - it's an obviuos restriction in the intake tract. I just don't know if removing the intake manifold is a job for a novice to do and the cost to pay someone to install them would negate the low price of the part itself. you also need gaskets, aquality torque wrench, tune - in the end they're not really a $100 upgrade

The installation is actually quite simple. It has been done by many people here in less than 45 minutes.
You don't really need to buy anything else except for the tune. The OEM gaskets are easilyreused, and a torque wrench isn't required for this mod, though if you wanted one you can borrow one from most auto parts stores, or buy one from Sears for about $35. Even if you have to buy a wrench and a tune, it's stillno morethan $200. That's not bad at all!

Installation is VERY easy. Uninstall would be easy if warranty work was needed also. This is the best $ to HP mod I have done.On a totally stock car the gains might be limited, but these are a MUST mod on a car with intake + LTs. To say they are not worth $100 is crazy.

DAMMMM! Its so hard to make a decision since i live in CALI. and i dont want to be putting all these illegal things in my car, since im going to have them removed when inspection comes by.
hmmm im so confused, but what sounds like a good idea would be those delete plates and shorty headers...ive got some thinking to do haha

Do you think the plates will cause you to fail the sniffer test? I have no idea of the emisions effects they have so I cant help there.
They definatly wont see they are installed like they can LTs.
