C & L Street vs. Race

C & L Street vs. Race
I am confused. As far as I can tell, the C & L "Street" CAI unit is cast aluminum and flows slightly less airthan the "Race" unit which is plastic/rubber. Anybody aware of any other differences?
Also, are the performance benefits equal with both units when used withthe same tune for a 4.6L with no other mods?
Thanks.

RE: C & L Street vs. Race
I went with the racer because I am considering a cam swap in the future. C&L racer with a 93 octane Breenspeed tune is this best money I have spent. Its like night and day, really woke the car up. Changed it from a mild mannered car to something that is really fun to drive. If I wasnt considering the cam swap I would have gone with the street.

Thestreet being metal allows them to offer a tap for a nitrous nozel.
The racer comes withthe larger MAF, but isa little more difficult to tune the fuel table for it.

OK. Got it now. Since mine is a daily driver and I don't want to put it through the stresses of frequent track runs, nitrous is not in the future. But is there an S/C in the future?? Who knows? C'mon Lottery, be kind to papa.
