How much do vanity (personalized) plates cost in your state / province? Here in Texas, they're $40 a year. That seems like a bit much to me.

Maryland the fee is $50.00 You get 4 choices 1st choice 2nd, etc and they give you which ever one is free in the order you choose. It's kinda fun waiting because you are not sure just which one you will get..

In Kalifornia The initial cost is $41 to $90- with renewal cost of $30 to $70 per year, depending on the plate. My plates have just arrived ORIGPNY meaning the Mustang being the original pony car.
