Default stainless works?

I was wondering what people thought of the stainless works headers? They seem a little cheaper then the most common other 3 brands. Also, if I never plan on forced induction, should I just go with the 1 5\8"? It's pretty much between the american racing and these stainless works, I don't want cats.

The Stainless Works Headers are top notch and a work of Art. We've been selling them for several years now and the quality, fit and performance of them is bar none. Most Stainless Works Headers Kits are made to order and take about 3 weeks to order up unless they have them on the shelf ready to ship. As far as what size to go with if you're planning on going forced induction in the future go with the 1 -3/4" ones as they will be more efficient at that point then the 1-5/8" ones.

We are also a WD Distributor for American Racing Headers which are also some of the nicest headers around. We can have a set of them with the offroad pipe ready to ship within a week so the wait is a lot less. They are also made in the 1-5/8 and 1-3/4" sizes so you have your choice.

If you have any questions or would like to order up a set feel free to give us a call and we'll be glad to assist you. Thanks, Jared

Jared are the headers from Stainless Works304 or 409? That is a big determining factor for me! I know the American Racing headers are but haven't reasearched the stainless!

frm what i researched they appear to be 304 ss. i found a set with an offroad x pipe. Which would be better to get, cause the other ones are straight through design, true dual exhaust. Which is the best one to get? I read on here before about someone sayin they lost low end power when they got the 1 3\4" stainless works headers, does this really happen? I still don't know if I should get the 1 5\8" or 1 3\4". Is there really much of a difference?

Not sure what you're talking about in regards to the straight through design but as far as choosing the size thats best for you I think I already let you know my opinion above. For an NA car to go with the 1-5/8" and for Forced Induction to go 1-3/4". If you go to large of a primary and aren't compensating by pushing more air into the engine you will suffer loss of tq down low. Thats why I recommend what I did. Thanks, Jared@Lethal

Ok, thanks for that, I guess I will be goin with the 1 5\8" cause I don't have any plans on putting any kind of forced induction on the car, if I do it won't be for at least a couple years. What is the difference between the H-pipe, X-pipe, or neither as far as noise and power? Would the straight dual exhaust sound nicer (no x or h pipe)? Anyone running the exhaust like that? Thanks!

I just installed my stainless works headers over the weekend. They fit great and are very well made.I have a couple of links below . One is video starting the car for the first time in 3 months with the headers installed, it will need a custom tune now. The other is a link to my mods.

If you have the funds order the ARH's from Jared..
If you can't spend the little extra coin order the SW from him.

I was going with the SW's but after looking over the ARH ones I was sold and glad I went with them.
They are amazing quality and a great design.

Are the x-pipe or straight pipe on the stainless works stainless as well? Would the straight pipes be better then the x-pipe?
