that last post was in reply the cheftjpeck... and his arguement with another member

but I am going to start running these pulleys in about a week. They are going to be coming in today, but I wanted to know how much, on average, is the gain with these...?

Well, they show up on the dyno as typically around 5-7 rwhp gain. This is a bit misleading because they don't actually add any power. They reduce parasitic loss (inertia) which the dyno interprets as HP gain.

I saw zero improvement at the track. Another reason I yanked them. I am willing to accept some risk with a mod as long as it nets me a quicker scoot down the lane. If not, it's gone!

Default questions

I have a novi 1000 paxton supercharger and i run a pioneer deck, all speakers, a multi channel amp, 2 10" subs, and a capacitor. I am looking at getting the new pulleys and want to know if they are worth doing and if they will give me problems being i have all this. If anyone could give me a hand that would be great. thanks

Default RE: questions

I would think that as long as you don't underdrive the alternator you'll be fine.

Well, first of all...with a centrifugal supercharger, you do not want an underdrive pulley on the crank, so if that's your plan, you may want to rethink it.

I have the Steeda's and love em. Installation wasn't bad at all if you have the correct puller. Car revs a lot quicker. Not to mention I got 1.5-2.5 mpg increase. +1 UDP!!!!!
