Default Missed Gear = Short Shifter

Ok, I know I shouldn't and I don't know why, but for some odd reason every once in a while when I get on it in first I miss second when I shift. ... now I think it's just because I let off the clutch too fast before I'm in gear. Solution??? Will installing a short shifter eliminate this problem? and if so, I was looking into a Steeda Tri-Ax... That a good choice?? Thanks for the input in advance!!

Is Hurst better than the Steeda?

your pulling the lever too much to the left inadvertently as you shift angrily. try concentrating on going straight back. your grabbing it at a wrong angle i think.

second gear on a stock shifter? you shouldn't miss it, it is definetely driver error. you need to do nothing but practice! first start to shift slowly and then get faster, faster and faster... then you will learn how to.. is it only second gear, if it would be 3rd gear, it would be a different story because most of us miss 3rd gear EVEN with short shifter.. practice is way to go brother.

2nd a little unusal but 3rd can be a pain, it may only happen once in a blue moon but it always seems to happen when it matters most

Yeah that's why I said don't ask why lol... I've hardly ever missed third, it's always second, and everyone always says the same thing lol... I'll see about a short shifter, thanks.
