what to expect?
What kind of gains should I get with the following upgrades?
- 1 5|8" jba headers with off road h-pipe
- C&L CAI with SCT X-Cal2 from Brenspeed
- Nitto 555r
- 4.10 gears
I am hoping to get some noticable gains from this, but not sure how much.

RE: what to expect?
you'll get extremely noticeable gains from each of those different things. the 4.10's alone will make a different car, but they don't make any power. the tune and CAI will be good for close to 30 horse. make sure you get a tune for you headers and h pipe to get everything working together and maximize power. if you do shorty headers and h pipe and have them tuned for your setup it should be good for another 20+ HP.

I am gettin the full length headers, shorties seem pointless. I was just wondering, after I get the headers, tune, and tires, would I want the gears. Would 1st be pointless with 4.10's.

would the 1 5/8 length long tubeheaders do good with an o/r H? Wouldnt that take off alot of back pressure equaling in less hp? JW because i have an o/r H with slps, and want to get some JBA longtube headers also!

RE: what to expect?
I would expect to see 40+additional HP at the rear wheels. If your car is otherwise stock this should put you around 300 RWHP.
First will still be useable, but short! The next thing I would look at is suspension mods, that way you actually put that power to the pavement instead of smoking tires.
There is nothing wrong with the full length headers plus an O/R H-pipe. Backpressure is ALWAYS a bad thing. There is no such thing as too little backpressure:

RE: what to expect?
Should I get the car dino tuned as well, after I put the headers on? The shop I am probably getting the headers put on said they can do that stuff. All he has is a lap top, but no dino that i know of. Is that possible to dino tune a car without a real dino? Also, will these Nitto's grip pretty decent, I want to take the car to the track a couple times this summer, and don't want to be changing tires, thats was the big reason for the Nitto's. Thanks

RE: what to expect?
i would have a dyno tune done after you do the headers and/or h pipe. and i would go with the x pipe for sure instead of the h pipe. my GT came with 3.55's and i'm extremely happy with them. if you are doing mostly drag racing and hardly on the interstate then 4.10's might be just the thing for you

RE: what to expect?
the headers and matching mid pipe are on the way, and im ordering the tune tomorrow. I was goin to get the dyno tune done right after the headers. I am goin to wait with the gears till a little later, see if i can get them installed cheaper. i do about 50\50 higway to city traffic. Will 4.10's hurt my milage that much, or is it like a couple mpg?
