Default Problems With New 07 GT

Hi everyone, great forum.

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on a problem I'm having on my brand new GT which i just got Wednesday. I was out running errands and stopped by Wal Mart. When I got back to the car and cranked her up, the TCS and Brake Warning lights stay lit up on the dash and I have a Low Brake Fluid warning on the message screen. Also I cannot turn TCS on or off (OFF stays illuminated). I checked the brake fluid level and it's at the Max Fill line.

Has anyone had this happen to them?

Thanks

This has not happened to me, but if I were you I would take it to the dealership and have them take a look at it. It wouldn't hurt. Good luck

Who's errands?

Sounds like a bad computer in your car. No reason your car is throwing up errors like that.

Have you checked the passenger side foor board for dampness?

I've heard of crazy codes coming up if the electronics get wet.

Interesting Buckshot, I just started my car to check and everything was normal! The odd thing is that today is the first sunny day we've had since I bought it, it's rained every other day. I will definitely keep an eye on it and if it happens again I'll have the dealer check it out.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

has to be the box getting wet and throwing those codes. time to take it into the dealer and get it fixed.

Well after going 'round and 'round with my dealership and Ford Engineering, it took one of the mechanics about 3 seconds today to finally figure out what was causing this problem. (Yes I have been dealing with Ford since I originally posted this). There is a sensor in the Brake Fluid Reservoir that is causing the problem when it gets hot. Since it is a part of the reservoir, the whole reservoir will have to be replaced. They are ordering if for me today.

Just thought I'd update you guys in case anyone runs into this issue in the future.
