New 07 with hood scoop...
OK I am a doofus...
I have a new 07 GT with a hood scoop straight from the dealer...I want to add a cold air intake to it, does anyone make this ad on? I can buy just a cold air intake but I want it to hook to the scoop, no sense having a scoop if it doesnt work. Any info would be great, thanks...

RE: New 07 with hood scoop...
the scoop is non-functional. it's almost impossible to make a raim air hood for the mustang that's functional. the only thing that works is the shaker and even then it's marginal.

So sometimes the scoop has bragging rights to be functional because the air actually travels through it, but it's still not adding to the performance. ie: non-functional
I think that cowl induction hood is known to perform better in street cars, because to get any ram air in a hood scoop you have to be about a foot off the car surface, but the cowl induction happens with just a couple inches for creating backdraft?
Anyway, I'm no expert, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

UncleWilly - don't let these sarcastic dudes bother you.
Good question.
Leave the scoop alone and just install a Cold Air Intake.
