Default Whats the major difference?

I want to get a K&N air filter, but I dont want to spend the $250 for the whole intake. Is the intake systemthat much better than a K&N filter w/ stock intake or is it a huge diference? In your opinions what is the best choice. Thanks guys

Default RE: Whats the major difference?

it's a great question, here are some #'s from the
cold air experiment ran a couple of years ago. you
can do a search on [coldscore] and read the whole
article, it's a good read

k&n filter without a special tune
278hp / 295 tq

k&n with sct tune
282hp / 299 tq
-
people generally get the tune to do additional things like,
reduce throttle lag and allow for gear/tire changes etc.
