I still don't see what the problem with working in the cold is unless you don't have a garage and a space heater. I pulled a manifold to fix a rear seal with ice on everything and couldn't get the car all the way in the garage and that's near Waco, TX. When it got too cold I'd just lower the garage door on the roof of the car.

We do have 4 seasons in TX. Spring, summer, still summer and fall with occasional cold spells.
