Default Removing the brakes

After removing the caliper, do the rotors just come right off? Or is there a more complicated process with brake tools and all that?

Thanks

the roter should come right off , there may be little metel clips holding it on a pair of dykes will take care of that. its really a simple process just look at it closley.
by the way you could just get a service maunal you can order it from your dealers parts department

I was thinking about removing my brakes too. It's the latest mod. It's pretty sweet. Only guys with skills do it. We actually have the no brake gang out here. I just got recruited. Although, some of our stangs keep getting banged up. What gives?

Did all for of mine this past weekend with the car parked in the street.
You will need the nissan rear brake tool to turn the piston to get ot to close. On the front you just need a clamp to push them in.

Lethal Hooked me up with the GMS Dimpled & slotted rotors to test out and so far they look great and stopping with the HPS pads I went with is much better.
Have had zero fade under hard braking and nosqueals or added dust over stock noticed so far.

HPS pads after a day on the road course.

Granted it was after racing all day, I still notice at least 50%+ more brake dust with the HPS pads on normal driving.
They do squeek on me, but only when its freezing out and the brake system is cold.
I will be using these pads again when they wear out, dont get me wrong, I like em.

Ahh.. Yes track use is a bit more then just a weeks worth of driving. The stock pads had brake dust and I would only notice it if my car went 2 weeks with out a wash. (it normally sees a car was at least once a week). And here in FL I don't think the temps will be an issue.. lol

I need to look into the BAER Extreme setup as to what pads are available for the 6 piston caliper it uses for track duty.

Lucky you, lol. Mines my daily driver. After about 2,3 days the wheels need a food wipe down.

So do you use an orange, lemon or pizza to wipe them down...[8D]

I'll see how these do over the next few weeks. I know they will not be enought for track use, when I head over to sebring to run the car.
