Default Best Exhaust system for HP???

I've been looking around for exhaust info and there's not a lot listed about horsepower gains.

What's the best kit or combo for the highest horsepower gains?

if you're going with just axlebacks, out of all the products, there reallyisnt any significant gain compared to even the stock AB's. If you are switching, go with the sound you like...LongTube headers will give you 20-30 rwhp depending on the brand, tune, and which mid pipe you use i.e. H or X. Another option is an off road mid pipe, which deletes the cats.

Thanks for the info acstone7. I was thinking more like a complete exhaust overhaul. Maybe long tube headers and all new exhaust from there back. I think I should keep the cats though because emmissions can be a real b!tch around here....but I have seen some high-flow systems that include cats.

So what brands are supposed to be the best for headers or the rest of the exhaust....and can anyone post a link to some dyno numbers or something?? Thanks

Kooks or Dynatech offer LTs with a catted X, which our popular combos. I will probably run the Catted Dynatechs with Slp LMs

talk to jared at lethal performance. he is the man, always posting info from their site, i never have talked to him, but he seems like a good guy, i like the American Racing Headers, with an x pipe, i wouldnt even consider shorties, as they have been so for not much gains at all....Lots of people like the borla stingers, a little bit of drone at 1800 i believe, i really like my flowmaster American Thunders, and with my off road H pipe i think it will be pretty sick and gurgly haha...good luck man, oh yah its www.lethalperformance.com check out their longtubes

As mentioned, Kooks, ARH, Dynatechs, etc. Just make sure you get 304 stainless steel. Stay away from 409 as it will rust over time.
