Ohh because I've never really heard of a huge gap between the insurance on a V6 and a GT. There was a thread just a couple days where a guy switched from a New Edge V6 to a New Edge GT and his insurance went down.

Well, that would probably only happen if after they bought the new car, their currentinsurance company wrote up a new policy, or when they did the change to the new car, they did a check on the person's credit score or other risk factors they take into account. If they improved (or as a result of the revised stats, the driver's risk was lowered in the eyes of the insurance company), the rate could possibly have been less for the GT. It happens....

I have a 03 v6 and a 06 GT and the rate is about the same for both cars with GEICO. The GT is just a little bit more because I have breakdown coverage on it.
