RE: FRPP CMCV Delete Plates Install
There is no difference in performance between the two. The difference is that when Steeda brought theirs to market, they were the only option available....and becasue they are machined from billet, they are expensive. The Ford parts are cheaper because they use the OEM castings, they just don't do the later machining steps to add the valves. It's just the bare housings. Conesquently the Ford parts are MUCH less expensive.

Indeed, make sure you re-use the gaskets! installation wasnt too bad at all, unsure about a couple things so that def took me longer, all and all anyone on thiss forum could do it...As for the responsiveness in torque down low, i did notice that i have to give it just a wee bit more gas to get up and get going in first, otherwise, i cant tell a difference in torque down low, seems just fine, now top end is where you can def feel these babies working, cheap, easy HP gotta love it

Did my install as well today and am set up for my dynotune tomorrow. I drove the car without an updated tune and the car runs fine except for a battery light saying "check battery charging system". Anyway mine hits the dyno tomorrow along with a nice tune from VMP!
Hopefully i'll be pushing 350rwhp!

The install is easy even with out instructions. Common sense tells you to unbolt what you see is holding it down. The tricky part is the two bolts on the underside of the intake.I had a buddy help hold the intake up and bolt down. Took less then an hour. It makes it real easy just poping up the fuel rails and not having to disconnect anything wet. Not only does it add power but it reduces weight too with the flaps and actuators gone!Ford's are the way to go the material billet or cast doesn't matter it is the remove of the flaps that counts so save youself $150.
