Default short shifter

How useful is getting a short shifter installed? I hear with the various tunes you can get....that the response time is cut dramatically

mmm, are we talking about an auto? i've heard that shifts can be much better with a tune. on a standard, a short shifter is great. i've got the hurst comp plus, and there's just no comparison to the stock. i had a grin on my face with the first shift. don't have a tune yet though.

tuning doesn't have anything to do with the short shifter. but it will cut your shift time dramatically.

Highly recommend it. Makes the shifting a lot quicker. I have the Pro 5.0. Got it from JPC Racing in Glen Burnie, MD.

It was less than 200. Justin put it in himself. Only took a couple of hours. JPC did all of my mods and I have been very satified with him. He installed my C&L and did a custom tune. Boy does it fly. I have run into several people who had work done there and they are very satisfied. He stands behind his work and on top of that he turns 9s in his 05 GT.
