Do the 305's stick out past the rim? What wheel and offset do you have?

I have been looking for over 2 months now on 18x10 or 18x10.5 rears in a 40 or so offset that actually look good.

I have 315/35/17 Nitto DRs on rear on 10.5. and the fronts are stock. The Nittos are OK on the street wet or dry, but not great on the track. With recent gear change, I will have to get a taller tire anyway.
Did you do anything besides relocating the sway bar mount to get a 17X10.5 to fit?

I agree on the tire height, the 35 series just doesn't look right ( in my opinion ). That was why I went with the 45 series. I wish someone would come out with a descent wide 40 series drag radial ( and no, I don't mean those Komo 295/40s either ).

Can you post a picture of the rims with the car a side shot. I am not a big fan of those fan blades but I can't seem to find any nice rims in the correct offset. How much do they weight?

Do you know what offset and wheel type you have?

I am embarrassed to say that I do not know the answers to the above. Will ask for you.
They do stick out about 1/2 inch. Really doesn't show.
The car is scheduled for a redyno-tune (speedo is way off), MAF upgrade and rpm increase to 6600 next monday. Right now we calculate 4th gear will run out before reaching the 1/4. If the extra rpms aren't enough to keep the car in 4th, I ll have to go to a taller tire and may sell them. They are better for street duty than track but are still 11 second tires. They are very good in the rain. Just haven't been able to go withslicks until the bullet-proof rearend went in last week.

255/45/18 (front) and 285/40/18 (rear) is what I am ordering. Anything else will stick out past the fender and I don't like the looks of that so much.

Here are the only side shots I have, plus a shot looking down at the fender to show they do not stick out.
Sorry, I don't know what they weigh. Maybe contact American Muscle

Thanks for the pictures, that seems like the correct offset, how much clearance is there on the inside?

Good pics, and you are right, the tire doesn't stick out past the widest part of the fenders. But the 315's sure the heck do. I will be happy with the 285's, 11.2" is still pretty wide in my book...
