Default Flowmasters or Pypes Violators?

My wife's birthday is approaching, and I want to get her some louder mufflers...
Money is an object, so I have narrowed it down to these two choices.
I have heard about quality issues for the flowmasters, were they ever resolved?
The violaters seem like a good deal, anybody have these?
Am I missing anything?
Any comments appreciated, my wife likes the sound of power!!

I have the Violators and love them. With my headers I am told the car sounds "Pissed off and violent".

I have Flowmaster and think they are great. Not too loud, not too soft. I have had them since June of last year, (i think)...no issues at all. I got them from Summit Racing...shipped to my door in two days. Good Luck! (oh yeah, easy to install too!)

ill tell you this, not flowmasters..............they're barely louder than stock.

the sound is best described as "how the car should have sounded stock"

Macs' are the nastiest out there. When I get the Kooks long tube headers I'm going to blow up the neighbour.

I have Pypes O/R X-pipe and Pypesviolators axle back and love them, but my car came with flowmasters. I liked the flowmasters sound it was a good quality, but I wanted an X-pipe and decided to just do the Pypes all the way back. On a positive note I do have a set of Flowmasters that I will sell with less than 300 miles on them. Since I have had both systems I will try and answer any questions you have. If you want any pics of the flowmasters or details pm me.

I have the flowmasters. Personally, I love them. I didnt want some loud raspy or nascar sounding exhaust.
The flows are a little louder than stock and have a great tone to them.
Again, all responses are going to be biased to ones own personal preferences.
I recommend doing online searches for sound clips. If you search this site - you will find similar topics of this nature.
Good luck!!
