RE: ANYONE HAVE JBA LONGTUBES?
A CAI+ tuner is definatley a better bang-for-the-buck way to add power, but LTs are pretty good.
A pro shop should be able to do the install in less than 5 hours. Anything more than that and they don't know what they are doing. The first time I did headers on an S197 I did it in just under 6 man-hours and that was with hand tools and a floor jack. I can now do it in under 5 hours working by myself--again, with hand tools and no lift. A professional mechanic in a proper shop with a lift, air tools, and more experience should be able to do it in less time.
HP-wise, they are not bad at all. On my car I got 19.5 RWHP, using the Dynatech kit with high-flow cats. The HP gain would be higher using an off-road setup (no cats).

19.5 HP is pretty impressive, especially with the cats still on, that is good to hear. I am assuming you already had the car tuned for the CAI and the HP increase is onlydue to thechange in the tune to accomodate the long tubes?
By the way, a respected performance shop around here quoted $450 for a JBA L/T install, which would be a 5 hour install at $90 / hour.
