im wating on that too, i hope they come out with a shifter that will allow you to shift buy yourself, like how the lamborginis can shift with the little levers on the steering wheel, that would be awesome..

If it's the one they have a picture of on the site, I'll never put it in my car. I don't understand why they would design it to look like a lollipop sticking up out of a boring flat metal plate. Retro is fine but come ON....we need something that looks decent.

I really want the ratchet action but I am not putting that lollipop in my car. I wonder if it could beriggged up so it has a boot and looks more like a manual shifter? Anyone think that can be done?

The picture you saw is the option they have come up with. They don't have any plans to make additional options. If you're not fond of the look (many aren't), you're kinda out of luck. As for adjusting the look yourself to try to make it look more like a manual, I think you're only option would be to personally design and make a boot for it. Nothing aftermarket for it to my knowledge. It'd be tough though because it's a linear action design, the only place you have to connect the boot is a tiny section on the metal plate. I don't think it would be any more attractive. As a side note though, the Delrin ball does unscrew so you can put a number of other options on but it will all still be on that thin aluminum rod.

I honestly prefer the look of the universal quick silver as opposed to the specific mustang piece...I would trust the beefier stick more!!
