If you are using the stock tunes in the tuner...they are pretty much crap....talk to doug @ B amachips.com He will write a couple tunes for you that will blow you away and he can adjust the shift pressure so you do not have the lag anymore.

Default RE: throttle lag

I've got the Ford racing 93 octane tune (part of the FRPP), and if I leave it "manually" in 1st, 2nd or 3rd and hit the "go-fast" pedal I have ZERO lag and the acceleration snaps my head back now!
The shift points are decidedly firmer now too- while still being smooth.
When I leave it in "drive" and punch it to pass, there's a very slight lag which I've been told is impossible to "totally" eliminate, but it's definitely less of a lag than before the tune.
I've read some postings that describe more "aggressive" aftermarket tunes as causing the automatics to "really slam through the gears", but I don't think that would be very good for the durability of your tranny........

Depending on how may miles your car has on it, weather conditions in your area, and how many times you have ran the tank really low. It may be the fuel filter. All of the things above will cause your filter to get full of crap sooner.

Default RE: throttle lag

errrr. In racing sometimes I get lots of lag when the fuel pressure drops very quickly, leaning out the engine, and making it hesitate. However those are not full size racing cars, but, from experience, I say either check fuel filter, pump, all pick-up tubes and if worse comesto worse, it is your tune or just the auto tranny

sry I couldnt be much help[&:]
