Default ford racing headers

hey guys, i have a magnaflow magnapack catback exhaust and i was wondering how the ford racing shorty headers were. does anyone have these? i know they are 409 stainless, but i wont be driving in any wet conditions or anything so i dont think theyll rust much. also, is there a noticeable sound difference between going from stock to shorty headers? i dont want it to be as loud as long tubes but a little increase i wouldnt mind. i understand there also isnt much of a power increase either?

Very little to no HP increase with any shortys.

LTs dont really make the car much louder either. It you go Offroad it will be loud but a catted system isnt much louder.

i have JBA shorty headers on mine currently but in about a month or two plan on putting longtube dynatech headers with the highflow x pipe catted, i also have the magnaflow catback, it definetly made the car louder but it isnt as loud as some of the other mustangs ive seen... when reved up it gets pretty loud and when you turn the car on in the morning after it sitting all night it will be loud of course... but i would recommend gettin an x pipe attatchment with the shorties...

i totally agree with the waste of money, but its actually my dads car and its his choice, and he doesnt want it to be as loud as long tubes are..he thinks its loud enough with just the magnapacks...ha

ok so the shorties will make it a little louder than it is?

Dont know about the sound difference w/ shorties....Try to sell him on the LT's and put the stock mufflers back on. LT's wake up the stock axleback's, but no drone and not too loud, and still get the performance benefit of LT's.

has anyone had the bbk tuned length or shorty headers? ive found a few of those on ebay for good prices, and they look a little longer length than the frpp headers.
