TOP GEAR GT500 TEST

RE: TOP GEAR GT500 TEST
I found it quite funny, especially the sister joke at the end. The only thing that these people fail to realize, and if you look at their car listing on their track time board, is the mustang is a mass produced car. Those other calls sell a high volume, but TVR, Spyker, comeon. Mustang is made for the masses, not the track. If you look at the Top Gear review for the Ford GT, well I must say it's one of the best they ever gave a car. They don't hate American cars IMO, it is just that Europe has 5x as many cars made for the track and speed, while were making cars snipping corners to sell more volume.

There's a lot of talk about 'fast in a straight line'.
Edit: Oh yeah, I do think they make a good point about the live rear axle though. American car manufacturers make waay to big of a deal (read: whine) about how expensive independent rear suspension setups are on their cars. That doesn't seem to stop the rest of the world. Hell, the Corvette wouldn't be the same Euro-killer that it is with a live rear axle, and Chevy manages to charge a lot less for it than any other car in its performance class. End rant.

the mustang is about $25,000...the STI is just over $32,000 and the EVO is a whopping $35,000...what can you do to a mustang for $10,000-beat the living crap out of an evo, that's for sure!...
ford did a damn good job of keeping the mustang price down and getting one hellofa 300hp car out of it.

There were 13 Britishcolonies referred to as the "thirteen" that rebelled against British rule in 1775 and proclaimed their independence as the United States ofAmerica. It was the British rebelling against British rule.
