why replace the rear end girdle?

RE: why replace the rear end girdle?
I personally own the LPW girdle, and I am perfectly satisfied with it. At the time I bought it, that was the only one on the market. (TA Performance hadn't finished making their first batch for Ford yet).
I would buy either the LPW or the TA Performance...but as I said above, both of those companies make a few different 8.8 girdles so make sure you are buying one specifically for an 05-07 Mustang GT.
I would not buy one off of Ebay. There is just too much of a chance that you're getting one that's too thick. I don't trust the seller to know specifically wether or not it will fit. Many people assume that if it fits one 8.8 axle it must fit all of them. Well, an '03 GT also has an 8.8 rear end. But a girdle for an '03 won't fit an '06.
I would NOT buy the panhard relocation bracket. The relocation bracket is not only extra expense, but it also adds unwanted flex to the suspension. Buy the right girdle from TA or LPW and you don't need the relocation bracket. Less money spent, and a stiffer suspension! Win-win.
