Hmmmm. I just looked up the specs on the Viper Magnum. 500 horses = 5 second or so 0-60. Not bad for a pick up. Guess it wouls be close then for a stock Mustang gt. Just think though...you would think with 500 hp the truck would be faster...untill I looked up the curb weight....5,000 pounds! What a waste of 500 horses! I wonder what kind of gas milage these viper trucks get. Probably single digit!

Corvette, Viper, GT500, exotics, etc. It's a driver's race with cars like the Z350, and the STi and Evo may be slightly quicker, so you'll probably lose if you suck. There are probably some BMW's and stuff that are quicker, too--I'm pulling this list out of my...head.

Looks like I'll be able to go to the BMC meeting this weekend if I don't go to the Gator Nationals. We'll see.

Watch out for modded turbo diesel trucks, I have a friend that has a Dodge Ram turbo diesel with the bullydog system and a few other goodies and he stays with me up to 80mph. Pretty damn fast for a truck.

I think BMWs and Mercedes are hit or miss. Some of those real expensive cars put out a lot of power, but they are all 4000+ lb luxury tanks. Generally speaking, don't mess with the M series from BMW or the AMGs from Mercedes. After all my N/A mods I am only barely faster than my coworker who has the current M3. Even then I have to be flawless in my driving.

There is an SVT Lighning that keeps wanting to race me at the drag strip. He runs MT slicks and turns 1.8 60ft. times. I am faster down the track.He finishes so close to me that he wants to run me every time I go out. I guess he thinks he is going to go that .2 faster each time. Still, a quick truck.

Don't forget that the new GT is also a chick magnet, which more than outweighs the cost of it being an A-hole magnet.

haha.....you guys must not look mean enough to scare off the competition....I hardly have anyone trying to race me! Could just be that the Indy area just isnt full of stupid a-holes too.
