I have the GTA's as well and with a few hundred miles on them they did get a little louder than when they were new. No drone is awesome also.

So since I am one of the older guys as well, guess I'll throw inon this....

I have had my Flows on for about a year or so. They definately started a bit quieter than they are now, but I absolutely love em. A lot of folks claim they have excessive drone, but I don't have it. Yes, there may be a bit of drone at about 1800 to 2000 RPM, but seriously, how much time is spent in that range. I really don't hear it, but I have gone back and listened to a video I did of my flows, and I guess I can pick up on it a bit.....

What I really like about them is, if I am just cruising along, I can keep em very quiet, without trying. But let me tell ya, put your foot in it, and they let you know they are there.....

The other thing to keep in mind is, if you have an aftermarket CAI and Tune, it does make a difference in sound. Mine got more agressive with my tune, in a good way!! My neighbor says my car sounds like a ski boat when I fire her up at 6:30 in the morning...

The Shelby you heard probably had an x-pipe... so the GTAs should have sounded slightly different than they would on an otherwise stock GT.

I can tell you that the GTAs are deeper and louder than I'd expected. They idle just a tad louder than stock, but give it some gas and you know that they're there. Infact, with my car being a daily driver (and me being 30+) the GTAs are about as loud as I would want to go...

Yeah, the x-pipe on the Shelby gives them a more "raspy" sound than the stock h-pipe- which gives them a deeper sounding growl.
I just love 'em- especially at 1/2 throttle and WOT (really fabulous sound!), and there's no drone when cruising which is really important for me (and other older dudes?).

+1 and+1 on the "Older Dudes" comment..........

Thanks for comments.

I remember hearing one GT-H also, it came to opposite side in traffic lights and it really had that raspy sound and also a lot louder than stock.
Don't know if GT-H has the X-pipe also.

What I really liked with Flowmasters was the rumble on idle, that was far better than GTAs or Magnaflows,
and now you all say that those get louder and deeper over time.
But hey, maybe I won't suffer for drone if there should be such thing, as I don't have top over my head
And another thing, a friend of mine has a GT Coupe, and I can hear that even stock exhaust is louder inside in it than
in my Cabrio top up.
Well, maybe I just have to flip a coin or something [sm=smiley2.gif]

I love my Flowmasters! I think they sound great....might get a o/r h-pipe to make it sound so nasty!!

So, I ordered the GTAs after all.
I was having a battle with myself of bying the Flowmasters or GTAs.
Sure, Flowmasters seemed to have better sound on idle but I was worried about the drone on highway as many have stated that they have
slight drone around 1800-2000 RPM, just in the cruising speed.
I use my stang daily so I decided that no drone is more important at this point.
Hopefully I can also hear the GTAs getting better over time.

Thanks for your input.

I bought GTAs as well, putting them on this weekend.

So I have had the GTAs now for couple of days... and here's some feedback for you guys that recommended them....

I love them

The tone is great and they are not too loud on highway, and great to hear the tone when cruising top down.
They seem to get better in time also.

Now I'm thinking if I should drop them down a bit, the tips are pretty close to bumber, the clearing is less than an inch or so.
