Default Stock Internals?

I have done searches and what not and i see people say that they like to stay at or no higher than 450rwhp. My question is with the proper tune wether it be custom from your shop or maybe from jdm, breenspeed ect what can these internals actually hold up to if drive right with the correct tune?

Well, I'm running at 10psi on stock internals at the moment but I'm on borrowed time me thinks. A good tune is a must with a FI setup.

Good tune you can go anywhere between 500-530 at the rear but you are driving a ticking time bomb just dont be suprised when it finally lets go.[:-]

I'm sorry but I have to strongly disagree with the fellow that said with a good tune 500-530rwhp. I've talked with several engine builders, companies, and performance shops and the general agreement is that upwards of 430-450rwhp and pistons and rods become an issue.

Not to mention I MYSELF painfully discovered this when I s/c my 05 and it put down 473rwhp and then I blew a rod through my block. Here is a pic...its not pretty.

I am also at 10 lbs of boost and producing 480 rwhp.I have had it dynotuned twice to try and keep in one piece but no longer feel comfortable at this level. I am scheduled for another dynotune on the 23rd and will have the car rpm limited to 6000 rpm....that should helpMaybe I should add to my sig.....waiting to go boooooom. Anybody used DSS for engine build?

Hey Huf...i'm running 10 lbs on a saleen w/ lt's and high flow cats on stock bottom end. Putting down 480rwhp and 458rwtq w/o probs(so far)...There are several guys out there running around 500rwhp on stock internals w/o prob. Tune has a lot to do with it. Not saying there is no risk, but many are having good luck w/ the saleen's on the stock internals.......
