Default Shifter Clanking HELP

I have a B&M shifter and I have started to notice a clanking sound when driving. It acts and feels almost as if the shifter is bouncing off the transmission, but everything feels tight. If I push down on the shifter the noise will stop, but if I pull up on it the noise becomes worse. Also when I floor it you can see the shifter move a decent amount. Do I just need bracing or is something loose? Thanks Sorry my car is manual too.

My hurst is starting to do this on my bumpy dirt road, it's annoying. Sometimes it sounds like a grinding and sometimes it sounds like the bushings squeeking. I tried some poly bushinglube on the body bushing, but it didn't really help. All my mounting points are tight.

Originally I wanted the Hurst Shifter, but since B&M bought Hurst they are changing the design or something and aren't sending any out. So I got the Steeda Tri-ax instead. Haven't recieved it yet but I hope it's good!

From what I hear, all short shifters are doing this. I think its because of being on poly bushings instead of rubber which absorbed the vibration. I am going to look into my Roush shifter today. I think I may have tracked down where that vibration is coming from and ill keep everyone informed

Mine started after 5k miles and after I installed my 1 piece driveshaft. Mine might be due to the driveshaft pushing more on the transmission than the 2 piece did, but that is just a guess. It makes sense to me that the 2 piece would move the transmission less than the 1.
