Possible RWHP and 1/4 mile ET???
All,
Quick question regarding the following setup and how much power it's likely to put to the rear wheels. I'm hoping for somewhere approaching 320 RWHP. However, I do realise that the last three mods will do zero for the RWHP or ET, and that the gears will only help in the ET.
The car's a 2007 Mustang GT (manual) on a set of 18" fanblades with the following mods:
WMS intake and custom tune from somewhere like B-chips or B-speed
Meziere electric water pump
Motive 4.10 gears
Nitto 555R drag radials
Steeda underdrive pulleys
Steeda Tri-ax shifter
Steeda/Tokico springs
Steeda strut tower brace
I'm considering switching to acam with a more aggressive profile at some point, but don't know enough about cams to know if the potential gain warrants the cost given that the engine's still normally aspirated.
Any thoughts?

You'd probably be putting down close 300-310 RWHP with those mods. The addition of cams should bump you up to about 320-330. Just estimating here.
As far as 1/4 times, with the addition of drag radials you should be easy in the 12.5 range or better. Granted you are a decent-good driver.

I'm sorry but you prolly just be hitting around 300rwhp. As far as 1/4 mile time...I'd bet $1000 that you wont get near 12.5 from those mods. I'm not trying to bea dick...but I haven't heard or seen anyone run 12.5 or better with just those mods. I could be wrong, but I havent seen it. I know I didn't when I had similar mods and exhuast too, and I'm a pretty decent driver.
Eh who knows lol. MaybeI wasn't a good driver back then lol.

yeah, with my list of mods, i am putting down 330RWHP and was only able to chirp off a 12.5 in the quarter one time. the rest have been from 12.6 and above
the only mod you have that gives a significant power increase is the intake and tune. the U/D's and water pump are good for about 8RWHP each. get you some headers and new cams, then you will be more realistic in your expectations.

My friend Steve's best time is 12.8 he has the WMS intake, headers, x pipe, exhaust, tune, cmcv deletes, stock gears, underdrive pulleys and a tone of suspension work. I do not remeber exactly what he was putting down after the dyno tune or the manufacturers names of his exhaust parts.

300 maybe....CAI and tune and the pullies are the only real mods that gain you power. CrazyAl stated yesterday that the water pump was only worth 1-2 I think. Many of us still under 300 with CAI, tune and pullies. Good luck though!
catless exhaust and CMCV should push you to the 305-310 range though

Vidmond managed a 12.5 with just a CAI/Tune, 4.10s, Drag Radials, Steeda Tri-ax (Not that it matters but it could help with the driver.), and an O/R X pipe.
I've put down 300 RWHP & 317 RWTQ with CAI/Tune, and an O/R H-pipe. On a Mustang Dyno. Sure, the numbers could have been altered, but I'm just basing this off what i've seen first hand, and not from what I've read from other people.

I think you should ditch the strut tower brace, it's just extra weight. Get a 1 piece driveshaft and ditch your swaybar when going to the track.
Are you lowered with no other suspension upgrades? If so you should change out your control arms and get some relocation brackets to help you launch. Adding drag radials with the stock suspension is bound to increase wheel hop.

um. . . i think it will be somewhere in the 290 range. . . of course. . . it really depends on the dyno. . .
my mods. . . C&L Intake, 93 Oct Brenspeed tune, Underdrives, Bassani X-pipe w/ Hooker Axelbacks, BBK twin 65mm TB
I laid down 301 to the wheels . . .318 torque . . . and I run 13.0's before the TB so. . .
