Default Dyno Results

Just got back from the dyno a little while ago...
Base dyno was 275hp and 289.67ft/lbs
(My "base" dyno is with the K&N CAI and Borla Catback)

After I flashed my ecu with my new tuner(SCT livewire)
My dyno was 279.57hp and 354.37 ft/lbs

I thought I would have picked up more horsepower... I can't even begin to explain the torque jump.
What are some numbers other people have gotten off of dynos???

I'm thinking you torque number is a little off.

I agree. That definitly doesn't seem right. There are plenty of people with full exhaust and CAI and they aren't seeing 354 ft/lbs. That seems really odd. Interesting to say the least lol.

Thought it was high too, but I don't have anyone else to compare it to around here any way.

When I added a ZEX 100 shot my HP jumped from 275 to about 340 only 65 hp but the torque jumped from 270s to 400lb. I thought that was kind of off of, but we did several runs on the dyno and was consistent. Maybe the tuner unlocked the torque monster.

I "canned" SCT tune isnt going to pick up much, but you are correct I would expect about 10-12
The torq is just wrong. Show us the printout.

no, nitrous is extremely torque happy. I had a zex 100 shot on my 00 GT awhile back. 80 rwhp gain, around 160 rwt. alot of the 4.0 guys are seeing tons of torque from the spray too. just the way it works. I would say he needs to put it on the dyno again, something isnt right with that much torque, especially matching a tuned 5 hp gain.

I actually got the printout for it yesterday afternoon and it's total bullsh*t. It has a big spike at the beginning of the graph and that's where my max torque was read at. Granted this was a tech. college that has a dyno and not performance/speed shop, but they should know how to read a dyno graph better.
I'm going to probably go to a shop this weekend and get another dyno if not a dyno tune.

I think you will be happier with the numbers, you should see some more HP also.
