No problems, complaints or issues specific to owning a vert for about 8 months now... other than I wish it was sunny/warm year round so I could go toplesss all the time..

A few things to consider: If your car is parked in an area where you'll have to worry about break ins or vandalism, a hard top is better. If you need to fit long objects.in the trunk, the rear seats don't fold down to offer more space. If you want to take it to the track and are under a certain time, you'll need to install a roll cage.I've heardavertis about 150 lbs. heavier than the coupe.
With these things said, cruisin with the top down, wind in your hair, sun in your face, and unlimited visibility all around is an experience! The tough part is handling all of the looks and compliments you'll get.

The great thing about the convertible is that I give up nothing in creature comforts. With the top up it is quiet, warm, and dry. With the top down there is little buffeting. The car does have a little shake to it going over bumps that the hard top does not have.
+1
It's perfect for cruising and you can enjoy the sun shine much better.
And in countryside you can smell the odors same way as driving a bike, whether it is a flower or cow s...t

Nothing beats driving around with the top down and listening to the V8.
I lowered mine and added the light bar. Those 2 things really seemed to make it more rigid and handle and ridebetter. Plus it looks good.

The only negativeI have would be the typical convertible blind spotswith the top up (the light bar didn't help this). I don't drive mine everyday anymore, and because of this I noticed how bad they were after driving it the other day. FortunatelyI only try to drive itwhen the top's down! Very fun car.

Can't go wrong with a vert. As many others have said, it does draw attention, so if you're shy... get it [8D].

Got to say now that I have drove mine for a couple thousand miles I am really happy. Its quieter than it should be. Comfy and works well. A few hop ups and now it works and looks the way I want.
Wasnt my 1st GT and wont be the last. Lots of bang for the buck!

Mustang GT convertible? In a word, the most fun you can have with your pants on!

i dont live in crime area or use it for skiing so dont mind the true pitfalls they mentioned. but you might. drop top 06 just put up the top, dont even buckle it, leave the windows down, stays nice and cool. btw i got the cervini concept ram air hood, like it looks great, doesnt shake at high end. oh and audioi, the extra stiffness makes the ride nicer than a hard top. i wish i had waited for 2007 to get the heated seats
