Homemade SLP
I'll be taking the car in to the the muffler delete thing. I just can't see spending $300 for a few feet of pipe and some tips. How many of you have done this and what did you think. Exhaust guy will be bending up the pipe with just galv. tubing to make sure it's what I want then he will be doing the final job in stainless with 4"x8" rolled slash cut tips. He says approx $100.

it will have a lot of drone. If I were you i would keep the stockers on untill you can spend $300+ Been there, done that! I deleted my mufflers on my old S197 and it had a HUGE drone at lower RPMs. I couldn't stand it. I put the stockers back on and actually, it felt like i lost power with muffler delete.
I suggest you not to delete mufflers. get aftermarket one or stick with stockers! I hope the one you guys are making will not have drone. Drone sucks and annoying!

my slp's have a little bit around 2k rpm's like in 5th gear

I will post clips when complete even if I decide not to go that route. This is the reason we are building out of galvanized tubing with some old echo chambers first. My exhuast guy is the best, he says if I decide I don't like it we can throw every muffler combination at it until I find the sound I'm looking for. Order will be Flows (40's), Magna, Hooker, Flowtech, we might even try to fit some Aero turbines.

I ran this when I first got my car. Sound great I think. No real drone on the freeway, can't even really tell you have anything until you get on it. I'm running straight piped exhaust with and off road x pipe and two resinators mid. My dad is only running straight piped exhaust so I'll try and swing by to get a sound clip for you guys.
