Default installing a truetrac with stock gears?

I want to upgrade my diff to a truetrac, but I want to keep the stock 3.55's. Is this going to be a problem? Do they still have to pull the gears and reinstall them? I'm assuming yes, but i've never rebuilt a rearend.

Yes, you have to pull the gears and re-install them if you change the diff. This is becasue the ring gear is bolted to the differential.

Changing the diff is the exact same labor as a gear installation is. The gears will have to be re-shimmed just like a "new install".
