Granatelli cold air intake
Has anyone here ever used this or know someone who has? I know a cai with a tune would be better. I just want to know if it is worth the money. Thanks.

RE: Granatelli cold air intake
I have one...to be honest, its just ok. 1. It doesnt fit very well, I had to really work on it to fit without rubbing the radiator. 2. mine came with a bad MAF sensor. I had to send it back and get another one....it took a few days..not too bad. It did wake the car up once installed and sounds pretty cool. I will eventually install a tune with it from Brenspeed very soon (today!).......hope this helps......also, try searching for this intake, lots of past threads really go in depth on this

RE: Granatelli cold air intake
Have to disagree. I put one on my wife's 06 Roush Sport Vert. She came home and wanted to know what I did to her car since she did not know I was putting it on. I just shipped it to a guy in Ohio, Cause now she's Got a KenneBell supercharger I put on. If you find some of these long posts you will find that very few people who actually own them have issues and are very happy with the CAI.

There are pretty decent....a little less hp than most CAI with custom tunes are, maybe 5-7 less. Getting the combo with a tuner is much better because you will use the tuner for many other mods (tire size, o/r exhaust, gears, etc). Quality wise I think they are just the same as all others.

RE: Granatelli cold air intake
For me, living in California where gas prices are $3.45 per gallon for 91 octane and I drive close to 5000 miles a month; a tune is out of the question. The Granatelli intake is the best option. Just because it doesnt work for one person or they think its junk doesnt mean that it wont work for someone else with different circumstances.
