What does GT stand for?

What does GT stand for. I kind of feel like I should know since it is on the side of my car.

ok heres history.

gt can originate from gto.

gto in italian stood for gran tourismo orimagatto.

most people think gto stood for get turned on

gto actually stands for grand touring homologation-meaning parts from racing cars were used on your car

subtract the o, and get grand touring... a step down from gto,,,,,,even though we can kick their asssss
