I'm on my second CD player and sure enough this one started turning retarded and now is dust. Ford needs to get off their *** with these quality issues, because this is getting rediculous.

my Shaker 500 has been great. not one problem with it *knock on wood*

although i don't listen to it much, except when I'm on the freeway/long cruise.

Sometimes it messes up when I use my own CD's. Sometimes it will play fine and others it will say it cannot read the same disk that it played yesterday! Yeah it sucks

I have been having some problems too..... at one point, I was throwing out my mp3 discs and reburning them.... the CD's would skip, so I figured it was corrupted. I paid more attention to it, and noticed that the CD skips in different spots every time i play it. I might just get a CD cleaner, or take it in.... but I been having problems too. BTW, the radio has no issues.

I had the problems with mine where it wouldn't read the disc. No matter what I put in it would say bad disc. My dealer replaced it under warranty. They have had problems with the Shaker every since they started putting them in the Mustang. I had a rental before I bought mine and the cd player didn't work. The clerk told me that none of them worked. When my warranty is up I'm going to replace the head unit with an Alpine.
