try this... hold the trunk down while u press the button, thts what i have to do. i took it to the dealer a couple times cuz of it, but they couldnt figure it out. my guess is tht the way the trunk lid is mounted on the car, isnt set right with the locking mechanizim, and its pulling up on it, and not allowing to give it space when it opens so it gets stuck. thts just my 2 cents.

Default RE: Trunk opening problem????????

I had to adjust the trunk latch shortly after I bought the car not because of an opening issue, but because the gap on the right and left side of the rear lid was inconsistant (came to light when I installed the honeycomb blackout panel). I did notice the trunk opened with a more "positive" action and sound after I adjusted it. BeforeI started the adjustment, I noticed a wear mark on the latch rod that could have been an indication that if I did nothing, there could have been an issue later. It was pushing more on one side of the rod... kind of pushing or releasing it "sideways" rather than just "up" or "open"...... not sureif I'm describing this clearly enough. You may just need to adjust the latch a little. It's very easy.

Try the second remote just to make sure it isn't anything with the remote or batteries but I'd be willing to be one of the above responses is correct.
