Default SUPERCHARGER=Buy Stock In Chevron

well, I have had my Saleen for a little over a week. I know I bragged how just try and get this grin from my face and it still holds true. However, I will say that I am changing my 401K portfolio to include Chevron so I can get a little return on my already stout investment in their company. ITs funny, I think the same time my supercharger was installed, Chevron must have been given the heads up about it because they doubled my credit limit on my Chevron / Texaco rewards card....I used to avg about 19-22 mpg city driving....now about 13.3....its scary if I reset it and just lay into her...I have gotten it as low as 7.7mpg.....but seriously my highway driving (which is limited due to the highway is under construction in my area and I am tired of ripping my car apart bouncing over temp hole fills) I am still able to get 22mpg avg...but city is the aforementioned 13.3 mpg. I also realize now that I need to invest in some better brakes. jsut dont know what ones yet...as these ones will be toast at this rate...its not the speed going to...its the slowing down from it....LOL....Just kidding....I usually drive pretty conservative compared to allot of people...but overall the S/C is still the greatest thrill....paying for it.....thats a different story..LOL....

I know all about the brake situation lol! I think my grin is permanent also . Yes, we use more gas now, but it's well worth it!

Or you could just take the entire brake system off.... all it does is slow you down. lol. with all this talk i might get the supporting mods first. like clutch, brake, things like that.

i think after getting used to the extra
power, your average will creep back up.

"I used to avg about 19-22 mpg city driving....now about 13.3...."

I agree, once the novelty wears off, the MPG will go back up close to where it was....then when the power doesn't impress at all anymore, Forged Internals with all the 'fixins', or a new motor will be in order...

I have a 6 mile stop and go commute to work every day and it makes me average 14-15 mpg. I feel your pain and I don't even get to play with a supercharger!!! When I do run it out on the highway though, I get back up to 20 or so.

yeah..but believe me the stop and go does not always give me a good venue to play either [&:]....just when you get the car going....stop....oh well could be worse, I could be drivinga _______________ . fill in the black for any car you ever drove that ya hated. but I do get great highway miles when I drive it...close to 22mpg...and I have to pay,.,,,if I wanna play.,,,,gotta love it...
