Default 911S for lunch...

Coming home Fri evening on Hwy 101, just minding my own business, making my way through traffic, and suddenly out of nowhere, this dark blue 911S flys by me on the right, and cuts in front of me. Now, I figurethis is just unacceptable, so I snuggle up close behind him, and wait. There's only one car in front of him, and after that, clear hwy. for about two miles. It's dead straight, two lanes, and the road is perfect. As soon as the guy in front of the Porsche can pull over, I drop into third and nail it, from about 70. I definately got the jump on the 911, and was closing on his a$$, so he pulled over, but try as he might, as I went into fourth at about 6200, I went right on by, waving adios! I rolled up to 6g in fourth, (which is about 145) and by then it was clear he wasn't able to keep up, but I still shifted into fifth, and let it roll for a second or two. By then I was rapidly approaching traffic, so I brought it down to about 80, pulled over into the right lane, and let him by. By now, there was no point in continuing...what was done, was done.
That was a nice way to end the week. Funny thing is, the whole thing took far less time than it did for you to read this.
Gotta love it.

Are you taking about the early 70s 911S as in the model slightly better than the 911T with the 2.7L? Those things have about 160hp or less with a 0-60 in 6-8 seconds depending on the year and carb set up.

If you are talking about a 911 Carrera S, you should clearly state that so no one is confused. If it was then tell us the year and your mod list which should be pretty extensive to have a chance of beating a high 12s 997 911 Carrera S (3.8L 355hp, 3250lb car)

[sm=smiley20.gif]It beats the C6 Corvette in the 1/4 and tops out at 182m/h.

Jeez, guys, who cares. I posted this for amusement, not to build up all your weak egos. I have a basically stock 07, lowered, race LCA's, panhard bar and upper CA and 255/45 Nittos on stock 18" Bulletts. I'm running 3:31's, and all I know is the guy didn't let me beat him. If you were in a 911S and had some Mustang pullin ya, would you?? Don't know what year...fairly late model, after market rims, very wide tires, flares, looked pretty nice, for as much of it as I saw...make out of it what you want. I'm not trying to prove anything, just having fun.

ya know, this kind of crap really cracks me up. "My father this, my father that..." hey junior, did your daddy buy you your car, 'cause you sound like a dip****. Did anyone say anything about a turbo? The car said 911S on the rear deck...that's all I know. I don't care if it had a VW 4 cyl in it. The guy tried tomess with me, and I dusted his a$$.

Did I say Carrera? I don't think I said Carrera. Let me look back...nope. Just as I thought...nothing about a high 12s 997 911 Carrera S (3.8L 355hp, 3250lb car) . Your confusion isn't my problem. If you're confused, maybe you should try and just enjoy the story instead of analyzing it to death, or trying to impress us all with your vast knowledge of Porsches. Personally, I'm not impressed.

No wonder people talk about new Mustang owners like they do.You guys make it sound like I'm some Camaro owner that just beat a Mustang!! LOL!!

I won't lie, my daddy bought my car. Free Car>Financed Car. And you should just edit your story, from my interpetation you jumped on this guy and are happy about it. It's a ricerish thing to do, as every asshat in a civic does this move to me, and when I want, it's extremely easy to beat the snot out of em. And when you make a claim of beating a performance oriented car, which weighs a few 100lbs less and has more HP, expect to get naysayers, when you don't have your mods listed. Nice kill, but next time pull up next, let him know you want some, and go from there. And honestly if a Porsche pulled up to me, I wouldn't know if it's a 200hp or a 500hp one. Unless it's a Carrera GT, all the damn things look the same
