Default why, why is it so hard to get a 3v to sound good?

never before have i heard such debate over what exhaust system to get! as opposed to a 2v or 4v, where u can just slap some flowmasters or magnaflows on it and have it sound awesome, you have to be extremely careful what exhaust u put on the 3V, some things just don't sound good!

i've watched, countless videos, and have been debating for about 2 years what exhaust would sound best. im about to just say **** it, straight pipes all the way back.

im currently thinking highflow catted X and some boomtubes.

who knows what ill end up with.

why do previous gen mustangs sound so much better?

hahahahahaha...........actually, for the first time in my life, i head slp loudmouths in real life at a car show last friday. they were loudmouth clones, but done extremely well.

they really rumble, he only revved it to like 2 grand though.

they definetly sound better in person.

i think they need an X pipe. ive come up with a rule for exhausts, on s197's.

chambered mufflers with h pipe. to prevent tin canny sound, unless with long tube headers.
bullet mufflers with x pipe. to prevent blatting trumpeting sound.

prochamber with either one.

ARH Longtubes with catted x-pipe and Borla Stingers.

I got it right the first time and will never be changing my exhaust, nor was I ever planning to from the beginning of my purchases. Anyway I have the perfect sound I want and sounds better than any 2VIMO.

The SN-95s have WAY more tailpipe after there muffler than we do and I think that is the main difference. But a lot of things affect the way a car sounds such as head design, firing order, etc...

You havegot to hear them in person to truely appreciate the sound of slp loudmouths on our 3v's. Vid's do NOT capture the real sound they just get the raspy part but they are deeper than you think.

if you have the money...go with Corsa, nothing is unique as them...and you'll love the lack of drone...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjcUWaU-Hls

Here's mine, and it doesnt even do justice...this is just axle-back...and it will only be better with mid-pipes and headers.

Although a little more expensive, its worth every penny! All my friends have the flowmasters, etc...and they regret not going with Corsa.

Not to mention the back-fire sound now....***drooooooool***
